Karen has been studying yoga for 10 years, and has knowledge of multiple schools of yoga including Iyengar, Astanga, restorative, and Shadow Yoga. She has studied with a wide range of teachers, and has been most influenced by Scott Blossom and Jason Crandell. She is a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher, and has also studied teaching yoga to cancer patients with Jnani Chapman.
She teaches with an emphasis on building internal strength, creating mindfulness, and establishing a deep connection between the physical and energetic body. She also writes about yoga and has contributed to Yoga Journal, FitYoga, Alternative Medicine, and Tricycle magazines.
